I got through econ 201 and 202, and that's all! BigPic, can you help with what Sinclair is saying. For instance, why only back the foreign purchases of treasuries? Will the Chinese and Europeans have a similar gold ratio system? Would such a system provide incentive to invest out of our country and into something backed by gold when your own country will not gold back your dollars? And having a balanced trade deficit, or one backed by a gold ratio for foreign investors, how does that help a large budget deficit?

If the dollar rests at .52, I would think our manufacturing would begin to build again, however, if there are other emerging countries, all bets would be off for the rebirth of our manufacturing, no?
