Signs we are still on the wrong track.

1. Federal, State, Provincial and Local governments are either going to run deficits or increase taxes and user fees. All of this as unemployment is on the rise with more layoffs still to come.

2.Unemployment at Private corporations is the highest in over ten years. Contemplated layoffs in the private sector will increase over the next two to three years. - No sign of any cutback in government bureaucrats.

3. Governments handing over private citizens monies (tax money) without imposing safeguards.

And my favourite:

4. In Britsh Columbia, it was stated recently, that 750 bureaucrats each earn in excess of $200,000.00/year.

Now do the maths.

The average provincial tax of the average working "stiff" is less than $5,000.00/year. That means it takes at least 40 private citizens, just to pay his/her salary. Add in benefits (say 20% min) and other operating costs /employee (say $20,000.00/year - on the low side but definitely realistic) and we can see that it takes over 50 employed people just to support each "bloated" bureaucrat.

When you reverse this calc. you notice that if the government would find a way to get rid of just one of these bureaucrats, each one of these fifty employed people theoritically should have in excess of $4,000.00 in his/her pocket. Now spread that over say 500 people and each would realize a min. of$400.00 in savings

I know this is theoretical and simple, but you get the idea.

Every government empoyee is paid 100% by tax monies.

In other words, help save the economy - CUT BACK GOVERNMENT FIRST.

Good Luck to all!
