This will never happen. The masses also have power. You don't need an election to have power.

You need people working together and sticking by each other, which is what invariably will happen if any such talk or government ruling comes down.

Everyone forgets that the government works for you, (the public). And it don't take an election to replace them.. and whether they choose to ride around on military aircraft to go home for weekends, or state that your land will be turned over to some foreign goverment, they are still accountable to the public.

I can't see that happening in the next 175 years.

After all we have Arnold on our side and you've seen what he can do against impossible odds. (And hundreds of warriors). Even if we have to put him back in the movies.

One side note: Government personnel who get the use of military airctaft to go home for the weekends should have to declare a taxable benefit on their income tax returns as this gift is not sanctioned by paying public.

I think everyone should apply for job within government as it is the safest place to be employed.

I must add that 50 years ago if you worked for the government, you didn't tell anyone as it was the most undesireable job to have in the eyes of the public. But now. It is the best place to work. Best wages, salary and bonus. Best pensions. (Guaranteed) Paid holidays all the time. Can't get fired. What more could you want.

How things have changed.
