The following was posted on the ECU board but not here. Argoz does this type of analysis whenever results are announced by ECU - extremely helpful and informative for those of us who have no mining background.
Following are metal grades and monetary values for yestarday's drill intercept of massive sulphides at San Deigo. I have used current metal prices of Ag = $10.24, Pb = $0.6778, and Zn = $0.5231.
Sulphide True Width = 4.97m
Ag Equiv = 42.42 oz/tonne
Let me stop right here. 42.42 oz/tonne silver equivalent over 4.97 meters is simply pheonominal.
Value of Contained Metal = $434.34/tonne
Metal Value at 70% Recovery = $304.04/tonne
Metal Value after 15% Smelter and Shipping Cost = $258.43/tonne
Profit after $35/tonne mine and mill costs = $223.43/tonne
Profit with 1500 tpd mill = $122.3 million/year
This is simply an awesome intercept. This material would pay for a 1500 tpd mill which costs $70 to $100 million dollars in 8 months. Both San Deigo and Velardena are going to be major mines. When we don't get bought out, metal prices double to where they were in March, the junior market turns, and we come out with a 500 million ounce Ag resource in December, we are going to be an $8 stock. I realize that is a lot of ifs, but I think it is going to happen and soon.
Since Golden Tag owns 50% of San Diego, their profit would be $61.15 million per year. At a 10 to 1 PE, that would put their market cap at $615.5 million. They currently have 39.77 million shares outstanding. If they increased float to 80 million shares to buy their half of the mill, their share price would be $7.69 which is 32 times higher than their current price of $0.24/share.
