This sounds like wishful thinking IMO. San Diego is far too important for ECU resource wise to let it go like that. Also, I don't believe ECU is as financially weak as you say, because they are presently raking in revenues close to $1 million per month. And an offer of $2 million for 50% of San Diego seems to me ridiculous.
Being both ECU and GOG-shareholder, I would urge both companies to settle their dispute as soon as possible and walk this difficult road side by side. There are enough hurdles to be taken without this dispute.
