TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 29, 2010) - Goldeye (TSX VENTURE:GGY) is pleased to announce the appointment of Warren Tong, CA as Chief Financial Officer, subject to approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. Mr. Tong has 15 years experience in public accounting, providing auditing, accounting and tax services in various industries, including companies in the junior mining exploration, automotive and technology sectors.
Mr. Tong continues to provide accounting and tax services to privately held companies in conjunction with his role as CFO of Goldeye Explorations Limited. Mr. Tong obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa and obtained his Canadian Chartered Accountant designation shortly after immigrating to Canada in 1997. He has been involved with Goldeye as an internal accountant for the past year and, in that capacity, has been guiding the Company through the transition to IFRS.
The Board would like to thank Mrs. Connie Webster who recently resigned as CFO for her many years of service to the Company. She will remain a Director for an indefinite period of time.
Goldeye has currently completed a phase I drill program of approximately 2,900 m in seven holes on its Big Dome gold zone in Tyrrell Township in the Shining Tree area 100 km south of Timmins. The drill program will resume in February when all assays have been received and compiled.
