Only my opinion here. I really hate to hear there was bloodshed. To be honest, with the increase coming in the "special mining royalty" of 7.5% payable on net profit, I would like to see an increase in security for legal mining operations. I highly doubt that will be the case. It will most likely be every company for themselves.

The corporate tax rate is also slated to go up this year to 30% from 28%.

I had a position of GPR shares without risk but added to my position last October. I sold those recently acquired shares shorty after hearing the news of the mine disruption. Even though the SP reacted positively to the news of the financials or possibly the rise in the price of silver....or both, I'm considering lightening the load of some of the Mexican silver mining companies I have shares of and looking elsewhere.
