Grenville Sets the Record Straight on Bella Rubia
Friday June 13, 9:00 am ET
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 13, 2008) - Grenville Gold Corporation ("Grenville" or "the Company") (TSX VENTURE:GVG - News; PINK SHEETS:GVLGF - News; FRANKFURT:F9I - News; WKN:A0KELU) has received numerous inquiries from investors regarding an erroneous report on Stockwatch indicating that High Ridge Resources had registered the Bella Rubia claims in the Peruvian Public Registry. Stockwatch has issued a correction.
Grenville's legal advisors have confirmed that High Ridge has not registered the Bella Rubia claims which are part of a lawsuit Grenville has filed against High Ridge and, to the knowledge of Grenville, High Ridge has not paid $ 700,000 to Bella Rubia. By contrast, Grenville has paid this amount in full.
Grenville is reluctant to comment further on items that are before the courts but it is necessary to clarify these critical points given the misinterpretation of the Statement of Defence.
