Hana Mining Reports Shareholders Approve Share Consolidation

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 30, 2009) - Hana Mining Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:HMG)(FRANKFURT:4LH) (the "Company") announces that at its Annual General and Special Meeting held on March 27, 2009, the shareholders approved the proposed consolidation of the Company's issued share capital on the basis of one (1) new common share for three (3) old common shares issued and outstanding, without any change in name. The proposed consolidation is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.

In addition, Marek J. Kreczmer, Peter G. Wilson, John P. Lynch, Claude Britt and Lloyd Gathercole were re-elected by the shareholders to serve as directors for the ensuing year.
