Figure 17.28 is misleading as it doesn't state what the price of nickel/lb it is using.

On the contrary my posts didn't focus on the "low to mid .20%" as all I was doing was copying information from ism's nr.

To give folks a comparative enclosed is the 3-D model that my techy friend put together using open source so anyone can plot the results that ism brings forth in nr's.

As for the price of nickel I might recommend that you get in contact with Bernanke to get a feel as to where he sees the price of nickel in the next couple of years.
