Todays decline in stock price is the result of Roche submitting a bid to takeover the 45% of Genentech it currently does not own for $44b. This now casts doubt on its willingness to go ahead with its option to proceed with Isotechnika. This is beyond the control of management. However, what has been under the control of management was the strategy it chose to follow and it is this strategy that has resulted in the steady decline in stock value over the past eight years and 25% dilution in shareholder holdings. A major change in management is necessary. Eight years of patience is more than enough. They do not have what it takes to get the job done.
