Gold futures ended slightly higher yesterday, losing some of their initial upward momentum based on a broadly weaker U.S. dollar.
Gold for August delivery settled at $941 (U.S.) an ounce in New York, up $1.50.

Copper US$/lb 2.28 -0.04

Lead US$/lb 0.77 -0.01

Nickel US$/lb 7.13 0.06

Oil West Texas US$/bbl 69.16 -0.78

Nat Gas Henry Hub US$ mmbtu 3.81 -0.01

Nat.Gas AECO C C$/gigajoule 3.24 0.13

In other precious metals, platinum climbed to $1,199.00, against $1,186.00 and palladium strengthened to $243.50 from $242.00.
