I could be misinterpreting the NR, but to sum it up:

A few small veins of obviously non-economical material were found with some metal mineralization, and a large vein of the host rock that the mineral deposits of the mines was found sans mineralization. Having found this large vein of host rock, however, they are optimistic that in the future they may find mineralization in it.

This being the case, it may be a pointless waste to pay for the assays.
