TORONTO, ONTARIO - (Oct. 13, 2009) - Latin American Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:LAT) (the "Corporation") announces the grant of new incentive stock options to acquire 1,070,000 common shares to certain directors, senior officers and employees of the Corporation and its subsidiaries having a term of five years and an exercise price of $0.22 per share. The options shall vest over a period of one year from the date of grant in four equal intervals and are otherwise subject to the terms of the Corporation's stock option plan.
