This author thinks the current concern over decreasing demand for BEVs is "overblown".  He also cites the continued development of lithium battery technological improvements as a factor in ultimately improving a return to increasing BEV demand.

As per usual, you can always find some "expert" to support a specific opinion on any subject, Pro or Con.  

I don't think there is a lot of disagreement over the fact that at this present point in time the demand for BEVs in the West has decreased, so the disagreement all seems to be whether or not it will continue vs it being only a bump in the road temporarily.  Time will tell.
