Sinohydro: Hope To Raise Capital In Equity Market Soon

HONG KONG -(Dow Jones)- State-owned Sinohydro Corp., which has restructured itself as a joint-stock company, said Wednesday it hopes to raise capital in the equity market as soon as possible.

Sinohydro, which has built about 70% of China's hydropower stations, said in a statement it completed its restructuring last week. It didn't elaborate on its plans to raise funds.

As of June 30, Sinohydro had total assets of CNY82 billion and more than 130, 000 staff. It has contracts for overseas hydropower projects in countries including Malaysia, Laos, Nepal, Cambodia and Myanmar.
