Value of what Noront has identified so far

posted on Dec 15, 07 07:27AM

There have been some excellent and detailed posts about how the Noront Deposit is shaping up. However there are also some posts distorting what has been found todate. If Noront were positive they had enough information to actually state 'here is what we've found in tonnage' they would do so.

Another problem I have is the dollar per ton figure used, OK some aren't pie in the sky and maybe at current prices $800 a tonne isn't out of line. Hover the current price of metals is not what would be used to calculate resorce value. The value of metals averaged over expected extraction is what will be used and that will be both conservative and much lower, MUCH LOWER.

It seems so far that Noront has found a deposit or pod that is going to look more like a snake than a turtle. Hopefullly a large snake that in places looks like it's swallowed more than a few frogs.
