Heads Up – Intierra Mapping “McFaulds Maps” ..are incomplete

This I did not know….

It seems if you’re a stake holder in McFaulds area, if you don’t pay for your information, listed on the map, then you’re not on it.

This is especially prevalent on the lastest, most current issue, Dated January 2009 I picked up at PDAC. ( I guess I shouldnt bitch to too much, becuase it was free ) but, the Errors and Omissions are staggering

Large areas of staked claims are no longer illustrated at all, on the map.

And, large areas of staked ground which where previously identified are no longer identified, as to who owns the claim, (just a muted colour) ,although the claim owners have not changed.

For Example: Northern Shield's large claim areas, which where previously identified are now unidentified. As are many others.

When I ordered & purchased a wall mount map a year ago, or so, I just assumed it had the latest staking references allocated on it. So, so wrong.

I guess it boils down to no pay no play

It just annoys me; that it is suggested that the map is up to date

Look at the Jan 2009 edition compared to the June 2008 version.

( June 2008 version ) High res

( Jan 2009 version ) Low res
