We have decided to hold a Stock Pick Contest, mostly for fun and bragging rights however, there might be a prize, it just isn't determined as yet

Very simple rules - pick 5 stocks that you believe will do well between January 4th and April 4th, 2008 - the contest starts with the closing price on January 4th.

You are welcome to sell your stock part way through, if you believe that it has gone up as much as it will, however, you must post that day that you have sold it and you will not be able to buy it back, profits are locked in.

The contest will then end at market close on April 4th and the person with the greatest increase in value, across all 5 stocks will be declared the winner.

As I said, this is mostly for fun and bragging rights - others may be welcome to join after January 4th however their picks would have to be as of the day they join and will end on April 4th also. This part is up for discussion by the group... let me know if you feel that it is closed on January 4th and no more entries.
