OTTAWA, ONTARIO - (Dec. 4, 2009) - Melkior Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MKR) (the "Company") announces that the TSX Venture Exchange (the "TSXV") has conditionally approved an increase in the size of the private placement announced by the Company on November 30, 2009.

The brokered private placement is increased from up to $3,000,000 to up to $5,000,000 (the "Increased Brokered Private Placement") and the non-brokered private placement is increased from up to $600,000 to up to $700,000 (the "Increased Non-Brokered Private Placement"). Both the Increased Brokered Private Placement and the Increased Non-Brokered Private Placement are subject to the same terms and conditions as previously disclosed by the Company in its November 30, 2009 press release.
