Title: Tanzanian Royalty Chairman Completes One Million Dollar Private Placement

Tanzanian Royalty Exploration Corporation announces that the $1,000,000 private placement with Mr. James E. Sinclair announced October 1, 2008 has closed. Mr. Sinclair purchased 327,225 common shares at a purchase price of $3.056 per share.

Mr. Sinclair's total share placements to date aggregate in excess of $20 million.
