Microvision SHOW Projector Featured on Discovery Channel Science

posted on Jan 22, 09 05:07AM

Microvision got a huge PR moment recently when their original SHOW projector was highlighted on the Discovery Science Channel. The original SHOW projector was only a prototype model that paved the way for the SHOW WX model that debuted earlier this month at CES. The SHOW projector is a technological marvel with it’s one of a kind

laser projection system. The system uses three different colored lasers (one red, one blue and one green), that come together to form one white laser beam. The white laser beam is then broken apart when it passes through the display panel, displaying the image. The SHOW is about the size of a cigarette case and can easily fit into any shirt or jacket pocket. The new WX model that was recently announced is much smaller than the prototype version and uses the same technology. The WX features a better 848 x 480 resolution, a 5000:1 contrast ratio, and 10 ANSI lumens. This model is expected to debut sometime later this year.
