President & CEO Kim Harris has provided an answer to your question resourceFULL:

Midlands' Esaase open pit mine is on the Sian project and is located on the Ashanti Gold Belt, 30 km north east of Newmont Mining's Akyem gold deposit with 8.7 million oz. The Keegan Esaase property is on the next gold belt (to the west of the Ashanti Belt) called the Asankrangwa Gold Belt. Midlands' Kaniago project is also on the Asankrangwa belt, only 20 km south of Keegan's Esaase project. Kaniago has 7 km on direct strike with the Keegan 1.7 mil resource.
