Exploration and Production in Mexico

The Dolores Mine
Minefinders were on track to commence commercial production at their wholly owned Dolores gold and silver mine during 2008.
The Dolores Mine is located in the Sierra Madre Occidental Range of northern Mexico. The project area is approximately 250 km west of the city of Chihuahua. The Dolores mine has a well-defined deposit and an open-pit mine life of 15.5 years. (Read More)

In addition to the Dolores Mine, Minefinders have a pipeline of advanced exploration properties in the Sonora region of Mexico and has been actively acquiring prospective ground in the Northern Sierra Madre trend for exploration.

La Bolsa
Minefinders' La Bolsa deposit has excellent logistics, access and metallurgy. It has significant potential for growth and development into a low capital cost, low cost producer for Minefinders.
The existing resource base, established in 1998, includes 208,000 ounces of gold and 2.1 million ounces of silver at a 0.3 gpt gold only cutoff. Drilling was due to recommence at La Bolsa in 2008, to provide material for additional metallurgical work. (Read More)

Planchas de Plata
Geological mapping, sampling and review of initial drilling samples has identified
* A number of mineralized trends that remain open along strike and at depth
* A series of indicators (alteration, geochemistry, geologic and geophysical tends)
Both factors point to the potential for concealed mineralization in the underlying rhyodacite rocks.
Specifically, in 2005 and 2006, drilling identified continuous high-grade silver mineralization within two shallow, sub-parallel flat-lying zones that extend to a minimum of 80 meters in width, 300 meters in length and range from 15 meters to 30 meters in thickness.
Low-grade mineralization extends in all directions from the main zone. (Read More)

Real Viejo
Minfinders' Real Viejo silver project is located in an area of substantial silver-lead-zinc mineralization in northern Sonara, located approximately 10 km from Planchas de Plata.
* Initial drilling took place in 2005. Drill intercepts included:
o 26.7 meters averaging 71.8 grams per tonne silver at a depth of 14.3 meters
o 698 grams per tonne silver over 2.15 meters.
* A drilling program is scheduled for 2008 to offset and expand on mineralization identified in 2005. If the drilling is successful, Minefinders will move forward with a resource study. (Read More)
