B.Sc. Chemical Engineering – University of Cape Town South Africa and post graduate in Business Administration, has 18 years total mining experience and over 12 years experience at the Turk Mine. Originally, Mr. Saunders was Chief Metallurgist which followed a quick promotion to General Manager in 1997. In 2004, Mr Saunders was appointed Chief Operating Officer and four years later became the President and CEO of the Corporation.
CA and B.Sc. from the University College, University of London, United Kingdom, is a Chartered Account with over 25 years of experience. Having previously been a consultant to the Company, Mr. Clow became Chief Financial Officer in December 2006.
BA – University of Toronto, 1992 has held executive positions as both a principal and an advisor to public and private companies for the past 15 years with extensive experience in corporate finance, communications, and investor relations. This includes maintaining senior relationships with the Toronto Stock Exchange, the TSX Venture Exchange, the American Stock Exchange and various investment firms, brokers, and analysts throughout Canada, the U.S.A. and Europe.
B.A. in accounting from University of Washington and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California, Mr. Weingarten was Chief Financial Officer of New Dawn from July 2000 to August 2005 and President from October 2002 to August 2005. Since August 2006, Mr. Weingarten has been the non executive Chairman of the Company and is active maintaining various business interests internationally.
A Harvard graduate in 1986 who went on to complete his M.B.A at the Univeridad IberoAmerica Mexico D.F. in 1989. Since 1987, Mr. Milan has been the Chief Executive Officer of Investigaction Estrategica, a merchant banking firm located in Mexico City, Mexico. Mr. Milan currently serves on the board of directors of various public companies in Mexico and abroad.
B.A. (Hons.) from University of Western Ontario, is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of varied industry experience. Mr. MacDonnell was a founding partner of Loewen Ondaatje McCutcheon & Co. Ltd., an international institutional stock brokerage and was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Stock Exchange. Mr. MacDonnell is currently the Vice President and a Director of Hawk Partners Ltd. providing financial services to Canadian public and private companies.
B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Western Ontario, 1984, M.Sc. from Memorial University in 1988, and a Ph.D. from Western University in 1993, is a professional exploration geologist with over 20 years of international experience. Dr. North was President and CEO of North Atlantic Resources, a TSX listed company from 1997 to 2007, and, is currently Chairman of Continental Nickel Limited, a mineral exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
