The $C went down following Mark Carney's Bank of Canada comment a few days ago ( prior to the large US bonds auction of this week ) that the Canadian Central Bank could interevene if the Canadian dollar were to appreciate as he commented this could jeopardise Canadian economy recovery .

Yet more recently i believe two days ago PM Harper commented a strong Canadian dollar was also good for the economy as the markets were taking a dive ...

Would it be too far fetched to think that Carney's comment was made in part to help The US bond auction ?...

Manipulation of the markets are going on at every level just my opinion
