Newstrike Capital Inc. (TSX VENTURE:NES) ("Newstrike" or the "Company") reports that its current exploration and drilling programs are operating as planned and on schedule. The Company's drilling contractor continues to operate efficiently with two rigs mobilized on site at the 'Ana Paula' project.


Further to the Company's March 15th, 2011 news release, the Company confirms that approximately 1,765 line kilometres have been flown by Geotech Ltd. under the terms of its airborne survey contract. Newstrike will provide an update on the status of its Aurea Norte properties on completion of this airborne survey.
