Good morning! The following release went out this morning and announces that we have signed an agreement with Itron, Inc., under which Itron will package our remote disconnect devices with their existing product offerings in order to deliver better functionality to their customers. I know that I’m usually ‘happy’ or ‘excited’ to put out news, but I’m genuinely thrilled with what has been developing with Itron, and with this agreement. Itron is the acknowledged leader in the metering industry, and has a 49% share of the North American AMR (automated meter reading) market. Itron’s AMR meters communicate readings ‘to’ the electric utility, but do not allow for communication ‘back’ to the meter in order to perform connects or disconnects. Our technology, paired with the Itron AMR meter, will give the utility two-way communications capabilities with the meter. The fact that Itron approached Nighthawk seeking this agreement serves as confirmation of the increasing need to to ‘control’ meters and electrical usage on a widespread basis. Itron plans to include Nighthawk products in bids for meter installations for electric utilities, giving us greater credibility and a much-increased presence in the market through both their direct sales channels and their huge network of distributors and resellers. We look forward to working with Itron and deepening our relationship with them in an effort to get more Nighthawk products in the field.

Nighthawk Systems Signs Agreement with Itron

SAN ANTONIO, TX – November 12, 2008 - Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: NIHK) ("Nighthawk"), a leading provider of wireless and IP-based control devices and solutions, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) under which Nighthawk has granted Itron a nonexclusive right to promote, market and sell Nighthawk wireless power control products to its utility customers.

Nighthawk’s wireless, whole house disconnect technology will complement Itron’s proven automated meter reading (AMR) data collection suite, ChoiceConnect™, providing electric utilities with two-way communications capability to their customer’s meter. The utility will be able to connect, disconnect, or limit power to customers based on meter readings without rolling a truck and sending field personnel to the customer’s location. Nighthawk’s one-way CEO700 and two-way CEO800 series of disconnect units will enable the Itron team to tailor the best solution for their customers. Nighthawk’s collar-based solutions fit directly behind the Itron-equipped meter allowing for virtually seamless integration of a remote disconnect solution for either existing or new customers.
