In the event of a spin-off, how does this affect the warrants and what is the impact on somebody shorting the stock?

My guess is that the warrants would need to be excersized to benefit from the spin-off and for the shorters....well if that caused the combined share prices to increase...well that would not be good for them eh?

Anybody know?
