Agree 100%. But remember, the potential significance of these "no see 'em" layers is two-fold. First, geologically they might be laterally continuous over large distances and useful as marker horizons. And two, although exhibiting only "anomalous" PGE values at one location, they might grade in the horizontal plane into economic, mineable concentrations.
