Chrome vs Gold

posted on Oct 04, 08 07:15AM

Someone posted a few days back that there is a huge amount of chrome in the world--so maybe that is why they say it isn't valuable...

Just like there is a huge amount of gold in the ocean...

By the same reasoning, gold isn't valuable.

And there is no doubt still a huge amount of gold in South Africa. But when it takes four hours in an elevator shaft to get down to where it is now, after decades of mining the upper-level stuff, and then another four hours to get back to the surface, there isn't much time left to do actual mining; and also a lot of electrical energy is wasted just getting down to where the gold is...did somebody say Durban DEEP?

So the shallow-minded kukes can say what they will. If they have no logic behind their utterances, it seems like the time has come to consign them to the slag heaps.
