A few ways of looking at size/value of Eagle 1 b and c

posted on Sep 11, 09 10:46PM

Just some fun calculations on a Friday night

Eagle 1a had 124m as the longest intercept. If we draw a comparison between this and the 2.8M tons of ore, you end up with a factor of 0.000044285714

If we take that 178m, this factor would give us 4.02M tons for lens B

If we take that 149m, this factor would give us 3.36M tons for lens C

This would give us a value of 10.18M tons for Eagle 1 abc

Another way to look at this would be assuming the deposits are spherical Vol=1.33x3.14x0.5D cubed

So for lens A vol=995 305

For lens B vol=2 944 092 or 2.96X more volume or 8.3M tons (2.8x2.96)

For lens C vol=1 726 832 or 1.73X more volume or 4.8M tons (2.8x1.73)

This would give us a total tonnage of 15.9M tons.

Now we know for a fact that the longest intercept out of 30+ holes drilled in Eagle 1 a was 124M. We know for a fact that lens B and C have intercepts of 178 and 149. Are these going to be the longest intercepts we have with these lenses?

I believe the second formula using sphere volume is more accurate than the first formula but so many thing can be thrown at this to prove it really has no basis in reality. However, my point is that tonnage will be directly related to radius cubed and so far, lenses B and C have a bigger radius.

Just some food for thought while we watch the SP climb and wait for our next NR!
