That's what this hub is for, right? No facts here, just opinions.
-I agree with Milsy. The people buying Freewest are not the ones that are 'hoping' for a better offer. The pressure pushing the SP up - I think is NOT related buying . I think the gamut of gamblers really hoping for that next big offer, they used up their extra 5k in the first couple of weeks.
-I liken this to a pond hockey game on a frozen swamp in Nakina. Hawerchuck, Robinson, and Federko vs Crosby, Phaneuf and Iginla. Present day. You can guess who's who. You don't enter games in which you don't win. Not at this level. It's all very calculated and with all due respect to FWR and the gang - they are severely outmatched at every position.
-I honestly feel bad that FWR hired CIBC to negotiate this deal for them. Not sure which collection of fresh MBA grads will be getting the free tuition to the school of hardknocks on this deal - the good news is that they will probably be better off for it when go and apply to work at a real investment firm.
-As for the goings on of the Hoov?! I just skimmed over the mess on the other board etc. It didn't warrant any further attention in my opinion. I've read 20x more useless posts than informative ones on these hubs but the ones calling out Hoov for a debate was the most classless by a rather large margin. Hoov, if you read this - PLEASE do not engage in this ridiculousness. We need your overactive brain focused on more positive things when you are feeling healthy enough to help us all out. Sincerely, you are an absolute gem.
