Hearing scheduled for November 12 and 13
Freewest to oppose application by Noront Resources for cease-trade order against Freewest’s Shareholder Rights Plan

Montreal, Québec, November 6, 2009 – Freewest Resources Canada Inc. (FWR:TSX-V) announces that a hearing before the Bureau de décision et de révision en valeurs mobilières will be held on November 12 and 13, 2009 to consider an application filed by Noront Resources Ltd. for a cease-trade order against Freewest’s Shareholder Rights Plan, adopted in 2008. The application follows Noront’s hostile take-over bid for all of Freewest’s outstanding shares launched on October 13, 2009.....etc. "
