Babjak mentioned what I thinking - Rhodium.....

posted on Nov 20, 09 06:11AM

...From yesterday's fantastic NR....

"Due to extremely high platinum results encountered in hole NOT-09-070-W1 these samples are being re-run, although the results did pass Quality Control protocols"

...And then Babjak's post.....

"RHODIUM AND OTHER ELEMENTS"

"I am wondering about the "iums" and if they are being tested on today's wonderful NR".

Okay, yes it is common for assays to be retested. But just maybe they are testing for Rhodium, Iridium, Osmium, Ruthenium and the lovely, Rhenium. Not sure about Rhenium, but I do believe that the others are associated with platinum group elements. So they will find some of these metals in that platinum, but how much and if it's worth extracting it from the platinum is unknown of course.

Makes sense to check for these platinum group elements, with the amount of platinum concentration in hole 70.

Thanks for pointing this out Ingrid.
