Clarify my thinking for me please.

Good afternoon my friends: I originally typed this several days ago, but decided not to post it for personal reasons, however, I believe that it is still pertinent after seeing some of the posts today., sooo..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning Ladies & Gentlemen: I have a bit of a problem. Since this is out of my expertise, which basically only inludes mules and siestas, can someone please explain to me why the Fwr share holders are so happy with the anouncement of the SRP being eliminated as being a victory for FWR?
The Ceo & Bod of Fwr are very competent in mining affairs, while the Ceo & Bod of Noront are also equally competent, plus having vastly more experience in merging and takeovers. Obviously they both have access to lawyers, who in turn need the guidance of the co. heads..
Noront is fully aware that almost no first bid is ever accepted, and that the SRP is one of the most potent weapons a company has in cases such as this. So what could be simpler than to give a time limited, normally reasonable first offer, thus, effectively forcing FWR into a short time, reaction .
FWR needs time to respond with drill results, third party bids, etc. and having very little to bargain with for this critical time', decides to give up the SRP in turn for a few more days to prepare her defense. The cessation of SRP starts on the very date that Noront starts her serious campaign for Fwr, It is only effectively eliminated' for' Noront, not a third party, they are still bound by it.
So, because of my limited experience, can some one show me where FWR can show a victory in the SRP neutralization?? As far as I can see, she has played directly into Noront's plans.
