Great reminder of the Economic Values. We should not loose sight of the many other benefits/opportunities that are derived by the ROF devlopment that motivate Federal involvement. Off the top of my head and certainly not comprehensive, they included:

North American resource security opporunity (Russia); Indingenous People, perception of our treatment on world scene greately improved through social benefits derived; Arctic souvernty initiatives (Russia) through transport corridor phasings; Continuing World Class mining expertise and; Enviornmental prestige through use of leading edge mining techniques.
