Message: Ring fires up Nickel Belt debate

Politicians twist things around to score points for themselves, example:

Implying that the 129 million $s is towards a railway is one of those, or McCall does not understand the Ring and it's prioroties. First priority is road and the Feds would not be funding it all by themselves. So 129 million could be for about half the cost and for first year seems just about right. The road would not cost 230 million in it's first year of construction but some of that money could be also meant for start of extention of the electrical power lines.
Diverting the $ discussion to a railway was inapropriate at best.

As for the 20 years time table from the NDP, priorities change and along with them also budgets so to make a promise over 20 years is like no promise at all. What is needed from them is how much and for what in first year and perhaps also for second year. Remaining years to be determined as time and budgets will allow.

So imho the Liberals come out best.
