CBC reporter Jeff Walters visited the NorOnt Resources Esker camp which stands to be affected by further investment in the Ring of Fire, the mineral-rich deposit in northwestern Ontario that for the last dozen years has occupied the imagination of the resource sector.

Boardwalk accommodations

A boardwalk leads to some accommodation tents in the Esker camp. The camp is on one of the highest points in the area, but walking is difficult in the soft clay. Boardwalks are needed to stop people from sinking in the soft ground while walking

He likes the ability to work relatively close to his family in Thunder Bay, and also likes the importance the company places on safety and the environment.
