Pedro,
Just some quotes from the PFS. My understanding is that UMZ resources are mainly located in a low altitude but large area mountain -this is why it is an open pit. Based on the drillings the depth is about 100 meters. This means that thay are going to "erase" the mountain and go shallow depths. I have not seen any positive results for depths below 150 meters. it is worthy to note that the exploration has not been finalized and we could expect more resources later in the project.
"The LMZ gold deposit is presently being mined by underground and open pit methods, and processed in the on-site CIL mill at a rate of approximately 700 tonnes per day. (85% from underground and 15% from an open-pit)."
"The UMZ open pit design and subsequent reserve estimation were carried out using the resource block model generated by NCL and current topographic data provided by Orvana."
"According to the Bolivian environmental legislation, it seems probable that the UMZ project will only require an update of its Environmental License and not the development of a new Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The update will need to focus on the heap leaching facility and acid plant as these are significant departures from the licensing provisions for the existing operations"
"The UMZ deposit presents very favorable conditions for open pit mining, due to geometry, grade distribution and geotechnical characteristics."
Hope this help answer your questions.
