"This is the dream team" - Ajit Manocha

Dr. Suresh Venkatesan, Dr. Subhash Deshmukh, Dr. Taylor & Ajit Manocha...

These men have a perfect symbiotic relationship.

In order to comercialize a product, you need various expertise. For a microchip to be developed you need the following:

- Research & Vision
(Dr. Taylor, Dr. Suresh Venkatesan, Subhash Deshmukh)

- Operational Strategy - Art of War
(Ajit Manocha, Dr. Suresh Venkatesan, Subhash Deshmukh)

- Technology Development: someone who can take the research and apply it in a real commercial setting
(Dr. Suresh Venkatesan)

- Electronic Design Automation
(
Dr. Subhash Deshmukh)

- Fab Tool Manufacturing & Fab Design Enablement
(
Dr. Subhash Deshmukh)

It was re-iterated many times that Suresh Venkatesan & Subhash Deshmukh are here to get shit done on the commercialization side.

It was emphasized that both of these men are intelectual equals to Dr. Taylor.

I have a feeling that this is the first time Geoff can finally speak to upper management in Taylor Talk, aside from Ajit of course.

- Suresh Venkatesan is here to develop Dr. Taylor's research into products.

- Subhash Deshmukh is here to bridge the gap between product design & the Fabs/ Design Automation.

- Ajit is here as a visionary in the Art of War. (Alliances)

This company will take "baby steps" in order to achieve the goal of full market penetration. However, these baby steps are monumental.

They will enter the lowest resistance verticals first, IMO.

It was stated that even if POET would simply build a standard capacity VCSEL available on the market today, they would still disrupt the entire market.

Remember, the advantage with POET is CAPEX. Our process can build these VCSEL for a fraction of the cost of todays products. VCSEL are needed in huge numbers for various verticals(Servers, Cars, Military, Internet of Things, MEMS). They need to be cheap.

That being said, we have a roadmap that blows current performance out of the water. But it is important to understand this is the advantage with POET.

It was made very clear at the AGM that CAPEX will be an enormous POET Advantage*

If you'll excuse me I've just finished an 18 hour journey of Planes, Airports and Automobiles. Will post more soon.
