ABP, if you're trying to understand today's trading, heck, it's the vagaries of stock and a Venture stock at that, especially the last few minutes.

Overall, the Greek situation should not cause any noticeable fundamental effect on Poet, directly; however, indirectly, there could be a material impact to the share price. If one holds more than just Poet stock, and is on margin, and because the market drops several percent, some of those diversified investors get margin calls, some may elect to sell their Poet stock (among others) to cover such margin calls.

Many stocks go down on an awful day or the days that follow, because of the margin call effect, even when the companies' represented by those shares have little to do with whatever it is that caused the general market to tumble.

If Poet were dependent on European sales of its licensed products for a good part of its earnings, then, a Greek default would surely affect the Poet share price, but by that time, we'd be talking a big fundamental hit on a high flying stock, like from $180 down to $150! If only it would be.... LOL.
