"Suresh also talked about the difference in how investors versus the tech industry view these acquisitions. He stated that the industry has viewed these acquisitions very positively for Poet. He really emphasized this."

Yes, Kath, the above was a big point of emphasis by Suresh, glad you brought that up.

In a similar vein, in talking to Jerry Rodriquez (what a nice gentleman), he also said he has been really surprised at what the share price has done since the THM. When I asked him why he had taken mainly stock for his shares, he explained that he said he was talking with others about collaborations (and with POET, too, not only about being acquired) prior to agreeing to the acquisition by POET. And that he was so excited about the synergy of the two companies, he concluded that doing the deal with POET and getting as much stock in POET as he could was his best route. He did not seem at all bitter that the stock had moved so far down, but simply nonplussed that it had. He's obviously a sharp guy and works with sharp guys, so I can't believe he saw where POET was three months ago and thought, "hmmm, it's about a 50/50 shot they get that intergrated chip straightened away." He had to have seen, as we too often hear these days, "a path forward."
