NVIDIA and Ayar Labs are partnering (Source). So, could it be that POET will sell Lightbar products to these companies?

Speculation of course, but there are some signs:

Ayar Labs platform is a monolithic silicon platform (Silicon On Insulator) requiring an external laser. The article above also proves this: “The external laser sources take up a lot of space, but this also means racks can be a lot less dense because connections between devices can be longer. This will make cooling easier, and the lasers out to be replaceable, too. If all of this stuff runs cooler, the lasers will work better as well. Density is overrated, and in many cases, as with the DGX systems for instance, the machines end up being so hot that you can only half-populate the racks anyway because the power density and cooling needs are more than most datacenters can handle.” (Source). ...POET offers a remote laser chip, the Lightbar.

But also this was announced: "Lumentum Holdings Inc. (“Lumentum”), a market-leading designer and manufacturer of innovative optical and photonic products, and Ayar Labs Inc. (“Ayar Labs”), a leader in chip-to-chip optical connectivity, today announced that they have entered into a strategic collaboration agreement to deliver CW-WDM MSA compliant external laser sources in high volume. " (Source).

So maybe Lumentum got the lasers that POET incorporates in the Lightbar so they can fit in the Ayar Labs-NVIDIA chip to chip solution?
