In an inquiry I made to Tom Mika, he confirmed that POET is supplying light sources for CAI’s first generation and that it will be a component to the Photonic Fabric. I was uncertain of what the introduction of the licensing strategy might mean, but my suspicions that the Photonic Fabric might not include POET were incorrect. I suspect we will hear more on this from the company in the near future, but the fact that POET is part of CAI’s two pathways, Photonic Fabric and Orion, is good to know.
