What POET means is that it is irrelevant because it is ten years away from being a relevant product. POET can adapt to it and eventually serve that market, but there is no need to even talk about it since it is a long way off. 

I believe the interposer technology can keep incorporating whatever it needs to in order to stay relevant for many years to come, and beyond. I see POET as one day, flush with cash, and always ready to adapt very quickly, due to the OI waveguides, and small size and ability to flip chip items onto the OI chiplet quickly. In this way, the OI actually helps new stuff find a way to market more easily. That is why Professor Lipson and the SHINE institute are associated with POET. It sure isn't for any immediate payoff.
