Pacific Comox Resources Ltd.: Indicated Resource of 5.9 Million Tonnes Grading 0.34% Copper and 0.039% Molybdenum Reported for South Zone at Ryan Lake in Initial N.I. 43-101 Report

MINERALIZATION IS OPEN TO DEPTH AND LATERALLY ON MOST SECTIONS PROVIDING POTENTIAL TO FURTHER INCREASE RESOURCE TONNAGE

SEPARATE RESOURCE ESTIMATE BEING PREPARED FOR NORTH & CLT ZONES

4,000 METERS OF RC DRILLING COMPLETED ON MABEL PROPERTY MEXICO, ANOTHER 2,000 METERS STARTING SOON

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 29, 2008) - Pacific Comox Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:PCM) reports that it has received the resource estimate for the South Zone, one of the three areas of drill intersected mineralization on its wholly owned Ryan Lake claims near Matachewan, Ontario. A separate resource estimate is being prepared for the North Zone where 40 holes have been drilled, all of which were mineralized. In addition a separate resource estimate is being prepared for the CLT Zone where 6 holes have been drilled, all mineralized.

South Zone Resource Estimate

The resource estimate is classified as indicated and is 5,969,917 tonnes grading 0.34% copper, 0.039% molybdenum, 0.09g/tonne gold and 5.0g/tonne silver.

Resource Criteria

The mineral resources in this press release were prepared pursuant to the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), CIM Standards on Mineral Resources and Reserves, Definitions and Guidelines prepared by the CIM Standing Committee on Reserve Definitions and adopted by CIM Council December 11, 2005 and compliant with National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Exploration and Development and Mining Properties.

Mr. Lawrence Buss, P. Geo., P. Geol. of Buss Services Inc. is the Independent Qualified Persons for Pacific Comox's Resource Estimate for the South Zone. Mr. Buss has reviewed and approved the contents of this press release.

The resource estimate was developed via block model analysis from 88 NQ diamond drill holes with an average length of 132 meters, with most drilled at a dip of 45 degrees on a nominal 15 meter spacing. All assay values are uncut and the inverse distance squared grade search criteria was used for the resource grade calculation. The specific gravity factor of 2.83 was determined by SGS Lakefield from 16 core samples of various rock units within the mineralized zone. The report describing the estimate will be filed as a Technical Report and posted on SEDAR within 30 days.

Ryan Lake Quality Control

Pacific Comox has a quality control program in place to ensure best practices in sampling and analysis of drill core. Company quality control included the analysis of duplicates in addition to those used by the laboratories for their own routine testing. All analytical work was conducted by Swastika Laboratories Ltd., an accredited laboratory located at Swastika Ontario. Samples for check assays were submitted to SGS Lakefield.

Potential Additions To Mineralization

The South Zone deposit is open in all directions. Many holes ended in mineralization. Most sections drilled to date indicate that additional mineralization may be added by drilling beyond the limits of the existing drill holes.

Pacific Comox is planning a drill program for this summer to test the expansion potential of the South, North and CLT Zones.

Ryan Lake Infrastructure

A mill with an approximate capacity of 250 tons/day is located on the Ryan Lake property and is currently processing barite. Pacific Comox owns the mill building and certain equipment which may be utilized for a copper/molybdenum milling operation.

The Ryan Lake property is located approximately 4 km west of Matachewan, Ontario and 60 km west of Kirkland Lake. Hwy 665 traverses the Ryan Lake claims.

Pacific Comox Program At Ryan Lake

Pacific Comox's focus at Ryan Lake is to increase the quality and quantity of the resources at the Company's three deposits on the Ryan Lake property, and on the completion of the Closure Plan which is underway complete a scoping study assessing the production alternatives for the property.

Pacific Comox is also exploring a number of copper/molybdenum showings on optioned claims near or contiguous to the Ryan Lake claims.

Exploration Program On Mabel Property Northern Sonora Mexico

Pacific Comox has completed the first 4,000 meter phase of an RC drilling program on the Carmelitas South and West areas of the Mabel property. A second phase of a minimum of 2,000 meters will be starting shortly. Most of the holes are less than 20 meters deep. The program is designed to further assess the at/near surface gold/silver mineralization potential of a number of areas on the property where previous drilling has indicated mineralization.

The program on the Carmelitas North area returned 62 mineralized holes averaging 1.4g/tonne gold and 48g/tonne silver over an average length of 5 meters.

Preliminary metallurgical work on a 100 kg composite sample from the areas of drill intersected mineralization is underway. A resource estimate is being started which will include the results of the current drilling program.
