NEWS - - Pemberton Breaks Ground

VANCOUVER, Feb. 20 - - (TSX.V:PBT, FSE:P5W) Pemberton is pleased to announce this market update: both rathole and mousehole have been completed on the 10-15-82-3W6M and the conductor barrel has been installed on February 20, 2008. Photographs of this process will be available on the Company's website www.pembertonenergy.ca under media centre.

The company continues to focus on its primary corporate objective: the creation of value for shareholders by identifying oil and gas accumulations with relatively low geological risk but with substantial reserve potential.
