I suppose I'll break away from NOT for a post here. Something special seems to be brewing at PGD.
I am not sure how long this will take to play out, but, these latest results are fantastic. I have a subscription to John Kaiser and that is where I first learned of this stock.... kaiserbottomfish.com. I have followed it and it has progressed into an absolute great spec play.
I would caution this market is awful... the worst. I follow a few juniors with great potential, NOT and HAT, in particular. PGD could be a beauty. However, if the world goes bankrupt, a big diamond find in northern Canada may end up being worth less than many would think.
That said, if you want a good read and to learn more, start with "Fire into Ice," a story about Chuck Fipke. A great read and tells a little about the finding of Ekati.
Ekati is what we are after... that's it. We want the big one in Canada... and if we do, we will have a whopper on our hands. If not, this will end up like the rest of the portfolio- not bad odds I suppose.
When BHP Billiton announced they were backing into this project this early, you pay attention. I suspected they would, but they could have easily drained PGD and forced more financings on them in this market... and eventually take them over. Iinstead, PGD gets some good money to spend to prove this find is for real. Lets hope they do.
