VENTANA ANNOUNCES NEW DISCOVERY
Ventana Gold Corp. has released drill results from a hole targeted at a comparable structure to the La Mascota zone on the La Bodega gold project in Colombia. Hole 146 encountered 14.0 metres grading 14.18 grams per tonne gold, starting at a depth of 296.0 metres. The hole was drilled at a minus-50-degrees inclination near section 9,550 and encountered a significant new mineralized zone which appears to be a parallel structure containing high-grade, hydrothermal breccias. It is situated about 325 metres into the footwall and to the southeast of the main La Mascota structure.
Wow, now imagine for a second that PLE has the accord and drills are turning with cores coming out starting from/near surface going down deep with these types of High Grades, not 300 metres down like VEN (not taking anything away from them they are pulling out awesome results). VEN's size of the mineralized area is talked about in hundred's of metres, but PLE has defined BdD with a mineralized zone of 6 sq kilometres! Also kinda funny for comparisons sake, VEN is in South America too just down the road in Colombia.
VEN sp is about $10 now with lots of drilling left still to do. Their float is I believe 90M shares according to stockwatch. Now if PLE pulled out comparible results there's your $5.00 per share minimum but what if they had a much larger area mineralized with High Grades starting from surface going down deep? A much cheaper (open pit) mine to extract from per ounce and a HUGE resource to go with it, that's worth alot per share in my eyes as I see it! :-) Just did a little dreaming after seeing VEN's news and PLE's very nice sp/vol perfomance today. :-)
GLTA PLE'ers Y;-)
